  • Krups Coffee Grinder optional

Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp pink himalayan sea salt or regular old white salt
  • 2 tbsp granulated onion or onion powder
  • 2 tsp finely ground black pepper
  • tsp granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • tsp smoked sea salt fine grain; such as those from Gustus Vitae or San Francisco Salt Co.

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients.
    6 tbsp pink himalayan sea salt, 2 tbsp granulated onion, 1½ tsp granulated garlic, 1½ tsp smoked sea salt, 2 tsp finely ground black pepper
  • Optional: Pulse about a third of the seasoned salt in a spice grinder/dedicated coffee grinder 7-8 times, or until it reaches the texture you prefer. Mix back in with the rest of the seasoned salt.
  • Store in an airtight container or jar.

Mix this up, try it, and then feel free to adjust quantities to better suit your preferences. If you'd like some extra smoke flavor, swap out a tablespoon of the Pink Himalayan salt for extra smoked salt. If you want the salt blend to be more garlic-forward, add an extra teaspoon of granulated garlic. Use this recipe as a base, then adjust it to your own taste!
