Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the pancake mix, water, chai spice, and vanilla extract.
1 cup Krusteaz buttermilk pancake mix, ⅔ cup water, 1 tsp homemade chai spice mix, 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Heat a large pan or skillet over medium-low/medium heat. Melt enough butter to cover the bottom of the pan.
  • Once the butter is melted and bubbly, cook the pancakes for 1-2 minutes on the first side, or until the bottom is golden and small bubbles form on top. Cook another 1-1½ minutes on the second side, or until golden on the bottom and cooked through.
  • Serve the pancakes immediately with maple syrup, butter, or your other favorite pancake toppings.

Notes from the Happy To Be Here Kitchen

Pancake Mix: Make sure you spoon and level the pancake mix when measuring it. Since the mix settles as it sits, it is so easy to add too much, leading to a drier batter and denser pancakes.
